The staff is absolutely amazing - the friendliest and most helpful I've ever encountered in Vietnam. The location is perfect, right in the heart of everything. Good wi-fi, great deals on airport transfers.

Allowed us to check in early 6 am! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are the perfect size and very tastefully decorated - very modern. Location is perfect! Right where you need to be when visiting Hanoi.
The hotel is new. However, there is a huge problem of dampness in the bathroom, can see the specks of mould on the ceiling. Also the bathroom firings are all falling apart - the basin was installed very oddly almost at an angle and the hand shower head just fell off and all the fittings were lose - looks like it was built by someone unqualified? Also they tried to charge a different price to the one we were quoted on Booked.net.

Amazing hotel! Stayed there 4 nights in 2 2night bursts in July 2011. Hotel staff are exceptional, always with a smile and wanting to help you out with anything. Our room was large enough, with a huge bed and clean, modern bathroom. Had everything we wanted and nothing we didnt. Also loved that the aircon didnt turn off when we left the room! The restaurant was great for breakfast, simple with fruits and either eggs of pho, but tasty. We were honestly treated like kings during our stay, and felt really welcomed. Coming back from Sapa at 5am in the morning, we planned to play some cards on the hotel porch till reception opened.. However the porch light came on, someone got up and we were told we could check in - at 5am! We didnt even ask.. Stayed at 8 hotels during our vietnam trip and this one wins hands down. We paid 22us for a room - its worth every penny.

the hotel's location in the center of the Old Quarter was perfect for exploring and enjoying the local food and shopping scene. the room was spacious and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast offered a wide range of delicious options. we highly recommend B&B for anyone visiting Hanoi. Cons: Nothing, all was good 😊.

The hotel feels clean and bright. Our standard room was small but quiet and with windows (many hotel rooms in the city center do not even have windows). The windows could not be opened though and we didn't like the lack of fresh air. Staff was nice and very helpful. They did not insist much on doing a tour with them (which many other hotels do). Nice shower and furniture. Location is great, close to everything and in a relatively "quiet" road in the old city (no street vendors right in front of the hotel). I would recommend it for a night or two.
Windows which couldn't be opened. Breakfast room is not that nice (small and with no natural light) and breakfast was not great.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter in Hanoi. The location was perfect, right in the center of all the main tourist points. Whether you're looking for fun activities or just want to soak up the lively atmosphere, this hotel is just right.
All was fine, nothing to complain about.

Great location in the heart of the old town, with all the main tourist spots nearby. Rooms come with large flat screen TVs and breakfast included, with good coffee and extra pancakes available. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

- Very nice staff. Always happy to help you for anything - You can trust the staff. No worries. - Reception opened 24h/24h - Great location in Hanoï - Staff organised a very nice trip to Halong Bay. - Payment via Visa or mastercard very easy - Very clean room with everything needed : fridge, Flat TV, Wifi - Nice and clean bathroom. Clean towels and new soap and shampoo everyday. - Free wifi and free computer with printer in the lobby - Simple breakfast but enough thing to eat and drink - Easy to have shuttle to airport (Around 15$)
- Room on the street a little bit noisy. Ask for a room not on the street. It is possible, the honeymoon on the top is the best !

I gotta say, for the price we paid, we got great value! The room was super comfy and we slept like babies, despite being so close to a busy street. The location was spot on, right in the middle of all the action. And the staff? They were amazing! Tom at the reception went above and beyond to help us out. He gave us awesome tips, arranged our Halong Bay trip with transportation included, and even helped us book train tickets for our next destination. All with a big smile on his face!
The breakfast selection could have been better, but hey, it was still alright.

I do not generally take time to review accomodation however the quality of Hanoi Spark considering its price and the above expectation service truly warranted commentary. some key factors were. 1. Clean and relatively spacious rooms considering the $23 price tag. Rooms had separate shower recess with "rain" shower heads. Good quality air-con and comfortable spring mattress unlike many hotels in this price range. 2. Staff assisted in negotiating a cheap phone and helped review a rental lease as I am teaching in Hanoi and speak limited vietnamese. 3. Staff were in general exceptional helpful and at all times 1 speaker of English was available to assist with queries. 4. Laundry through the hotel was billed by kg as opposed to many establishments which persist with the per item tourist trap. (basically walk out of the hotel and every laundry bills per kg) I would recommend Hanoi spark to budget to mid range travellers seeking a clean, friendly and wallet friendly place to stay in Hanoi.
